Ageco is one of the five companies from Tanzania nominated by the US government to take part in the 2016 Power Africa Program. Under this program, Ageco will receive a grant of USD 100,000 to build a 34kW biomass gasification plant in Magungumka village, located in Ikungi District – Singida. Ageco installs a solar hybrid system in Kigoma

Ageco has completed a big project in Kigoma by installing a power backup system at Maweni Regional Referral Hospital’s lab building. With this system in place, there will now be power available 24 hours at the hospitals lab building even when Tanesco power goes off. This project is funded by ABBOTT Fund, an American-based philanthropy organization. Similar hybrid power systems were installed at regional hospitals in Singida, Sumbawanga and Songea.
